The moon was full, and it was Firemen's Night at the Fair Haven Firemen's Fair Wednesday night.
The fairgrounds were packed with firemen from all around the state and fire trucks lined the streets and the Acme parking lot as all gathered in an annual tradition that has been followed for decades.
Also featured on the grounds was the 1940 GMC/SealandFair Haven fire truck that was just recently refurbished by Burdges Garage, Little Silver. The whole process to spiff it up and restore it took five years, Patch was told.
