A Concert A Meeting and A Book Club

A round-up of useful information and events happening around Rumson and Fair Haven today.

 

Rain and Clouds for Today: Find those umbrellas and rain boots. According to the National Weather Service, today there is a likely chance of rain in the afternoon followed by clouds. Temperatures are expected to reach a high of 57 today. Overnight there a chance of showers before midnight, followed by cloudy skies and a low around 47.

RFH Athletes in Action Today: The boys varsity golf, baseball and tennis teams will take the field today along with the girls golf, softball and lacrosse teams. The teams complete schedule can be seen by clicking here. 

Middle School Book Club: The Oceanic Free Library will host a book club for students in sixth through eighth grade. Today’s book will be the second in the Hunger Game series, Catching Fire. The book club will be directed by Brooke and Kelly Gibbens of RFHRHS. Registration preferred for the book club, call 732-842-2692 or email the library director at reisn@monmouthcountylib.org to register or for questions.

Boy Scout Meeting: Scout Troop 125 will meet today at Christ Church United Methodist. The meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. For information regarding activities and joining the troop contact Gary Uhl, Scout Master at uhlg@americanstandard.com.

Save the Music: Students from Rumson Fair Haven Regional High School are hosting a rock and pop concert at the school to help raise money for VH1's Save the Music Foundation that creates and sustains music programs in under funded school systems throughout the country. The concert will begin at 7 p.m. there is a $10 entrance fee for the concert.
