5 Things to Know Today: March 8

A round-up of useful information and events happening around Rumson and Fair Haven today.

 
  1. Light Jacket Weather: According to the National Weather Service, today will be mostly sunny, with a high near 64. Tonight will be cloudy with a chance of showers. Temperatures are expected to drop to 45.
  2. Meetings: The Fair Haven Shade Commission will meet tonight at 7 p.m. at the Fair Haven Borough Hall.
  3. School Events: A) In View Testing will continue for Fair Haven students in second, fourth and sixth grade. New students also in third, fifth, and seventh grade will also be tested today. B) There will be a Differentiation Workshop for Fair Haven parents today from 10:30 a.m. through 11:30 a.m. at the Sickles Media Center. C) Rumson Schools will be dismissed at 1 p.m. today.
  4. Support Groups: St. George’s By the River will hold an AA meeting today at 10:30 a.m.
  5. Boy Scout Meeting: Troop 125 will meet tonight at 7:30 p.m. at Christ Church. For information regarding activities and joining the troop contact Gary Uhl, Scout Master at uhlg@americanstandard.com.
