5 Things to Know Today: March 1

A round-up of useful information and events happening around Rumson and Fair Haven today.

 

Rainy Thursday: According to the National Weather Service, today there will be a chance of rain in the early morning followed by a mostly cloudy afternoon. Temperatures are expected to reach a high of 47 today. Overnight temperatures will drop to 36 while the sky stays cloudy.

Meetings: The Fair Haven Zoning Board will meet tonight at 7 p.m. at Borough Hall. For more information visit the town’s website at http://­fairha­vennj.­org

School News: Knollwood Elementary School’s drama club will be performing “Oz” tonight at 7 p.m.

High School Sports: The RFH boys and girls varsity basketball teams have advanced into the next round of the State Champion Tournament. The girls will travel to Point Pleasant Borough High School and take the court at 6 p.m. The boys will also be on the road today as face off against Ewing High School at 7 p.m.

Boy Scout Meeting: Troop 125 will meet tonight at 7:30 p.m. at Christ Church. For information regarding activities and joining the troop contact Gary Uhl, Scout Master at uhlg@americanstandard.com.
