Free Thanksgiving Day Brunch for Sea Bright Residents

Residents and business owners of Sea Bright, one of the hardest hit areas from Hurricane Sandy, are invited to a free Thanksgiving day brunch at Gibbs Hall, Fort Monmouth, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

McLoone’s restaurants will be donating the food for the brunch. Staff from the three McLoone's restaurants in Sea Bright, Long Branch and Asbury Park will be volunteering their time to serve.

McLoone’s Rum Runner in Sea Bright, part of the McLoone’s family of restaurants, was devastated by the storm.

Owner, Tim McLoone, is holding the brunch as a way to give the residents of Sea Bright an opportunity to get together and have a holiday meal, as most of the town’s residents have been displaced to various locations.

If possible residents should RSVP to Tory Bench at tbench@mcloones.com by calling 732-380-0800 or reaching out to Peggy at councilwomanbills@gmail.com or 732-233-9627. You may also RSVP by visiting the McLoone’s Restaurants Facebook events page.

The brunch is open only to Sea Bright residents and business owners.

I lived in Seabright for 15 years after graduating from Rumson Fair Haven High School.
I taught at Fair Haven's Knollwood School for 14 years. My thoughts and prayers go to all that have been displaced due to this storm. I am residing in Florida now and have been teaching for 20 years down here. I am a Jersey shore girl and always will
be one. God Bless to you all..Kathy Morris..Art teacher
