Dinner for Sea Bright Residents Affected by Hurricane Sandy

  • December 3, 2012

"Sunday Sauce" was the theme of a dinner held last evening for Sea Bright residents at d'jeet? restaurant in Shrewsbury.

The family style dinner was for those affected by Hurricane Sandy. Mayor Dina Long, her family and councilwoman Peggy Bills along with other notable Sea Bright residents were in attendance.

It was a great evening with many family and friends seeing each other for the first time and exchanging stories and information over a "Sunday Sauce" meal of pasta, meatballs and salad.

d'jeet?'s owner and executive chef Casey Pesce and his staff volunteered their time to help make the event a success. Casey would also like to thank Paul David Partywares, Better Breads, Kobrick Coffee Company and Holiday Meats for their contributions.

Once again, we need to support these businesses! If these people are this kind and caring, would it not behoove us to return the same?

People are good. Unfortunately, there are some who do bad things - and many more who do great things like this. Besides, I heard that the meal was ambrosian. If not for that reason alone.

I am searching for a place where I can take my family for a great dinner. Your mentioned place fully matches my demands. I will surely try this.
